About Bernd Billmayer
Bernd Billmayer began his personal photography around age 14, and soon began to use it as a fine art medium winning competitions, exhibiting in over 65 group shows, 3 one man shows, and selling at regional exhibits, while working part-time as a photo-journalist. After completing 2 years of courses at the New York Institute of Photography and later receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, he went on to work as a full-time professional industrial/commercial photographer for 20 years. During this time he taught several evening college classes in fine art photography, the art of seeing, the history of photography, and darkroom classes. In film days he shot only black and white - developing, processing, and printing all his own work. Today he enjoys the exploration of color photography in the digital world. His passion for photography remains strong. It's magic and it's fun!
